TONY HONG, PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Tony graduated from Masters of Physical Therapy at University of BC in 2011. He has completed several postgraduate courses including Acupuncture training (CAFCI), Dr. Ma’s Integrated Dry Needling, Level two Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy, John Barnes and Stecco's myofascial release courses.During treatment, Tony likes to provide care taking into account the whole person combining western and eastern points of view.

He utilizes manual therapy, acupuncture/dry needling, and therapeutic exercise to help clients recover and maximize optimal functions. In his spare time, Tony contributed his knowledge and expertise to local community. He was volunteered in a number of local sports events and was invited by FairChild radio (FM 96.1 Hz) and hosted two programs in March 2015 to promote active lifestyle, injury prevention and physiotherapy services. Also, Tony enjoys badminton, snowboarding, table tennis, hiking, travelling and the most important to spend time with his 6-month-old little man at home. Tony is also fluent in Mandarin.

CAROL ANNE ROBLE, PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Carol graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and completed her Doctor of Medicine degree in 2006. She has practiced as General Practitioner in the Philippines prior to settling in Canada. Carol's skill and experience as GP is an asset that she brings to Guildford Physiotherapy and Sports Clinic. Her approach is providing client-centered treatment to educate and attain the functional goal of the patient. She enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and picnic during her spare time.

VARINDER PURI, PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Varinder Puri graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor's in Physiotherapy and in 2009 with a Masters degree with specialization in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. He has over 15 years of experience in the hospital, polyclinic and community setting and as a Assistant Professor in a Physiotherapy College. He is competent for treating clients with Musculoskeletal, Orthopedic, Sports Injuries and Geriatric conditions.

He has a strong background in helping patients to reach maximum physical, emotional and functional capacity to improve quality of life. He is a highly compassionate professional who is committed to building positive rapport with patients. He interacts well with clients/patients from diverse backgrounds and with his sense of humor and stories he helps to alleviate the worries and tensions of his clients.

He has been treating patients with sports injuries, motor vehicle accidents, work related injuries and joint/muscle pain and dysfunction. He also has experience in treating patients with chronic pain. His treatment techniques include Dry needling/IMS, Manual therapy, Myofascial release, Muscle energy techniques, Trigger point therapy, Cupping, Correction of Posture & movement patterns through Therapeutic Exercise Therapy.

Varinder has an amiable disposition and is an excellent team player, who gets along with his colleagues and superiors alike. He has a smiling face all the time and is a jovial guy. He spends his leisure/spare time travelling, reading and spending time with family and friends. He can communicate fluently in English, Punjabi and Hindi.

Rajee Graduated from Dr. MGR Medical University 1999, Tamil Nadu, India and Completed her Master of Physiotherapy at Mahatma Gandhi University In 2004, India with specialization in Pediatrics. She has more than 10 yrs of experience in field of physiotherapy. Prior moving to surrey, she was working in Malaysia for 7 years. Rajee has passion for learning and upgrading herself by attending courses to improve her skills to provide the best treatment possible for her clients. In her free time, Rajee likes to spend time with her family and enjoys Dancing, Crafting and Cooking.

Alex is a Registered Massage Therapist and a graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. Alex strongly believes in patient centered care and is devoted to helping patients reach their goals. Alex works together with his patients to help them understand their existing conditions, and develops a treatment plan that will help treat the underlying condition while preventing further injury. In his treatments, Alex utilizes a variety manual techniques such as General Swedish Massage, joint mobilizations, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), myofascial release, deep tissue work, and Trigger point release. Alex also incorporates therapeutic exercises, appropriate home care and patient education in his treatments. In his free time, Alex enjoys learning new skills, staying active and playing basketball. Alex also works as a Registered Acupuncturist.

Jacky has almost 20 years experience in healthcare as a doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine for in China before immigrating to Canada in 2005. One of the many treatment modalities he used as a TCM doctor was a type of massage called Tui Na Massage. Through his many years of clinical experience, Jacky has seen first hand how powerfully effective massage therapy is and the profound impact that massage has on a person's life.

Dr.Iqbal is Ph.D from the University of Glasgow- Scotland and has been university teacher teaching post graduate classes. He has also worked in the Industry at various management positions before moving to the field of Psychotherapy. Dr.Iqbal is a Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist and Certified Clinical Counselling Hypnotherapist. He uses hypnotherapy as a tool for Psychotherapy .In practice he has developed specialization in dealing with Depression, Anxiety, Grief, Phobias and Physical and Sexual abuse. Dr.Iqbal has practice in White Rock.& Surrey (Guildford area). He also has gained experience in Couple counselling, Cessation of Smoking Alcohol addition and over weight problem. Dr. Iqbal offers online/virtual counselling and in person counselling.

John Suh, Reg Kinesiologist

John Suh has been a part of the Guildford physiotherapy and wellness team as a practicing Kinesiologist since 2021. He graduated from Trinity Western University with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and is a member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK).

John is excited to help his clients reach their personal rehabilitation goals and assist clients in their journey to live a healthier life through stretches and exercise. As a Kinesiologist, He tailors the exercise programs to meet the clients needs.

He is fluent in Korean.

Dr. Xin (Jonathan) Zhang, Registered Acupuncturist

Dr. Zhang is a Registered Acupuncturist, Herbalist and Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has accomplished Doctor of TCM program at International College of Chinese Medicine of Vancouver and is a registered member of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia.

Rather than chasing signs and symptoms, his goal is to uncover the root cause of an ailment, employing a multi-tiered and integrative approach through means of treating the body, mind and spirit. Treatments are explained in a clear and straightforward manner, and healing programs can be designed to complement Western diagnoses and medical care. He helps his patients by providing individualized effective treatments which can include acupuncture, cupping, acupressure, scraping(Gua Sha), and electrical stimulation, as well as traditional herbs.
